Choosing A Business Name

I need a little bit of help, my friends! As you know, I am training to be a birth doula at the moment. Once I have completed the training, I will also get my postpartum doula certification. If I am feeling very ambitious and time permits, I may even get my certification in childbirth education.
Now that you have a little bit of background knowledge, please help me choose a name for my future business. I have had a few nice ideas, but most have already been used by other doula services. They are:

Baby’s Path
Baby’s Way
Mommy’s Little Helper
Special Delivery (I know, not very creative…)
Labor Love (this might be too birth specific)
Baby Love

If you had to choose from these options, which would it be? If you think they are all awful, please let me know and I will brainstorm some more. And of course, if you have any suggestions, please share them!

  1. Baby Love, or what about "For the Love of Baby" since everything we do in labor is ultimately for baby. Hmm, when I think duola I think of a more peaceful birth (even if it is still painful lol). So I guess something like "baby serenity" would work too

  2. I like Mommy's little helper ... or a variation of it!

  3. Another thought is to just use your name. I know in our community everyone has a doula or midwife business name, but nobody says it. We all say, "Oh, you should call Michelle. She's an amazing doula."

Names can work if their is a practice with multiple people under one umbrella.

If I were to pick from your list I would say Baby Way, but I also think it might be nice to focus on the mom, since doula-ing is mostly about supporting the mother through her journey.

Also, if you are going to have a website it can be helpful to use keywords so people can find you when they google doula and your town. Like, Georgetown Doula Services. Boring, but very effective.

    Good luck!

  4. Mommy's little helper is my pick. I think it would be catchy, and it sounds cute. I hope you choose the right one since it's one of the most important things to do in starting a business. :)
